Corporate responsibility
Participant in the UN Global Compact
Since 2008, DZ BANK has been a participant in the UN Global Compact, which was initiated in 2000 by the UN Secretary-General at that time, Kofi Annan. His vision was that businesses should play an active role in developing a more sustainable and more equitable global economy. DZ BANK would also like to have a part in this.
We are therefore committed to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact. Under these principles, we will ...
- respect internationally proclaimed human rights and promote compliance with these rights within our sphere of influence,
- make sure that we are not complicit in human rights abuses,
- uphold the right of our employees to freedom of association and the effective recognition of their right to collective bargaining,
- eliminate all forms of forced and compulsory labor,
- work with others to achieve the effective abolition of child labor,
- eliminate any discrimination in respect of employment and occupation,
- adopt a precautionary approach to environmental challenges,
- undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility,
- encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
- work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
