A key element of employee satisfaction is being able to maintain a good work-life balance. That is one of the reasons why DZ BANK actively promotes compatibility between work and family.
Besides part-time work and alternating teleworking models, we offer various childcare facilities throughout Germany, such as emergency day care for children up to twelve years of age. This scheme has been available to employees free of charge for ten days per year since 2007.
We have also set up specially equipped parent-and-child offices at all major sites so that our employees can take their children to work if their regular day-care provider is temporarily unavailable.
We have arrangements with local crèches and kindergartens. Statutory family leave and medical leave are also available in our foreign branches.
Besides caring for children, acting as a caregiver for other relatives is becoming an increasingly significant issue. We have therefore introduced special skills training for employees who have to cope with this double burden and have arranged advice on home care and elder care in cooperation with the families service. An inhouse caregiver network offers the opportunity for employees to share their experiences.
