The DZ BANK Foundation promotes academic work, research, teaching, and learning at universities, as well as supporting research projects and excellent academic work that are directly linked to banking or the cooperative movement. It thereby complements DZ BANK’s corporate citizenship work. In 2010, the DZ BANK Foundation, which has assets of €16.5 million, donated a total of around €400,000 (2009: €438,000) to new and existing projects.
